Are you an BIB alumnus/alumna with 1 year of experience in the field and want to share your experiences with 1st year students? We are launching our first Corporate Mentoring Initiative for BIB students and we need your help!

Become a Mentor

(In "Your matching settings" please select 'BIB 2023' to participate in this initiative)

Why become a Mentor?

To share:

-    Knowledge of your sector of activity or profession, how you got there, and the skills that landed you the job

-    Your experience within a big corporation, a SME, or a Start-Up …

-    Your career path : expatriation, career evolution, taking over your family business, changing professions, or any challenges you faced

The qualities and commitments required:

-    Be willing to transmit, to feed off the exchange with students

-    Be attentive

-    Be kind and helpful

-    Keep the exchanges confidential

Your role as a Mentor:

-    Accompany your Mentee, so he/she benefits from your experience

-    Help him/her build his/her professional project

-    Guide him/her to be successful in his/her functions…

-    Give him/her some tips to face the challenges of the next steps of his/her career

-    Define the terms of your exchanges (frequency, meeting time, more info to come later)

How to become a Mentor?

GEM Alumni is launching its first edition of the Corporate Mentoring Initiative  as a pilot project to accompany BIB students until the end of the academic year.  Our aim is for you to pass on your advice and tips to help students find internships and later to get onto the job market!

Using the mentoring tool on our new GEM Alumni platform, you will be able to discover our student’s profiles!

No need to be from Grenoble, Mentors and Mentees can be on every continent! Please note, discussions will take place through the platform.

The GEM Alumni team and the Careers team will be there to support you throughout the entire process, answer your questions and share information.

A community BIB mentoring program will be set up  on the GEM Alumni platform to allow you to discuss with your fellow mentors and mentees, share news, tips or articles and find all-important info!
