Biao He, GEM DBA 2016, excels at the helm of a Chinese telecommunications giant

Biao He is the Chairman and CEO of China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd., and Executive Director and CEO of China Mobile Limited.  His performance places him in the upper half of nearly 2,900 executives assessed in Hong Kong. 

After graduating from Xiangtan University in 1993, Biao He pursued further studies at Grenoble École de Management (GEM), where he earned a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) in 2016.

Before joining China Mobile, Biao He held several senior positions at China Unicom, including:

• General Manager of the Guangdong Branch
• Senior Vice President of China Unicom (Hong Kong)
• President of China Unicom Online Information Technology

In April 2024, he was appointed CEO and Executive Director of China Mobile, where he oversees the group’s operations while also serving as President of CMCC and CMC.

• China Mobile’s share price rose by 8.28%
• Market capitalization increased by HKD 93.6 billion
