Christoph Heitland, MIB 2014, Senior Director Procurement Enablement at Lufthansa Group
The Lufthansa Group recently announced the appointment of Christoph as Senior Director of Procurement Enablement, a position he assumed in February 2026.
A 2014 graduate of the MIB program at GEM, Christoph is now taking on a strategic role at the heart of one of Europe’s largest aviation groups.
In his new role, Christoph is responsible for leading initiatives to optimize, improve performance, and digitize procurement across the Lufthansa Group.
This appointment recognizes a career marked by steady advancement, solid expertise in strategy and organizational transformation, and in-depth knowledge of complex industrial environments.
Eight Years of Growth at Lufthansa Technik
Christoph has spent more than eight years at Lufthansa Technik, a Lufthansa Group subsidiary specializing in aircraft maintenance. There, he held positions of increasing responsibility, notably serving as Strategy Manager for over three years, then as Corporate Purchasing Manager, before taking on the leadership of cross-functional projects as Program Lead.
From 2022 to early 2026, he served as Director of Corporate Procurement Intelligence & Process Excellence.
He also concurrently served as Interim Head of Strategy.
Before joining Lufthansa Technik, Christoph began his career at Deloitte as a Senior Consultant, where he spent nearly five years.
