Representing all areas concerning GEMs graduates, the network, and the active alumni communities all over the globe, GEM Alumni (one of many braches of GEMs brand) has been upping its social media presence over the past 18 months.
During the GEM Gala at the end of January 2017, the hashtags #GEMAlumni and #GEMGala blew up on social media, earning more than 900,000 collective views by more than 214,000 users in just one day.
This was great news for the GEM Alumni team that has been working hard to increase its social media presence over the past 18 months.
The team started by sharing alumni success stories and nominations to increase visibility among their fellow alumni, but also realized the value to the external community – companies that recruit from GEMs talent pool, potential students considering GEM, journalists who write about rankings, and organizations in charge of accreditations.

Beyond these figures, GEM Alumni is also defined by the alumni participants, their dedication and engagement that allow us to measure the impact of our efforts.
For each post on social media, the GEM Alumni team monitors the number of likes and shares in order to adapt and improve our content.
