Last week, GEM MBA Alumni and Students got together for an afterwork event at a local biergarten to network and discuss getting settled in Berlin an enriching professional and cultural experience for international students and alumni alike!
Accompanied by Phil Eyre, GEM MBA Program Director, and Alice Retaggi-Aguilar, GEM MBA Program Coordinator, the 50 students of the current full-time MBA Grenoble cohort visited Berlin for their end-of -the- year study trip. Naturally, we asked our local alumni to help us give them a warm welcome to the city!
The relaxed atmosphere encouraged students and alumni to easily mingle and get to know each other, but also allowed for ample discussion around Germany’s current job market, career trends in Berlin, the booming start-up scene, and how the city’s unique artsy bleeds into professional life.
A HUGE thank you to the alumni that attended! The students really appreciated the opportunity to hone their networking skills with none other than Berlin-based GEM alumni from all programs! They thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and are thankful for the advice you so graciously shared with them.
A special thank you also goes out to Frédéric Ridou, GEM ESC 2000, for coming all the way from Nuremberg to join us!
Read his article on the energy transition in the GEM Alumni Mag (page 16)!
We’d also like to thank our wonderful partners at GISMA Business School for all of their precious help in making this a success!
