A GEM Alumni, Emmanuel Bois has been president of Chocmod since 2021. Founded in 1948, this small business based in northern France is now the world leader in chocolate truffles, a career path highlighted on Challenges.fr.
ChocMod generates 80% of its revenue internationally and is aiming for €100 million within five years. Its ambition is to make the quality of a major chocolatier accessible, in competition with giants such as Ferrero and Lindt.
We have almost doubled our profitability, with revenue rising from €32 million in 2021 to €56 million this year. The goal is to exceed €100 million, with strong potential for external growth.
After a career at Mondelez and Cadbury, Emmanuel Bois revived the pickle industry in France before taking the helm at Chocmod. He has invested in innovation (54 truffle recipes), the quality of raw materials (no palm oil, Rainforest Alliance-certified cocoa), and international growth, with factories in France and Canada.
