On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, GEM’s incubatees had the opportunity to engage in a virtual discussion with one members of the GEM Alumni community:  Nash Hughes, PGE 2001 nd co-founder of BFC Group.

An entrepreneurial journey driven by GEM’s values

With transparency and enthusiasm, Nash reflected on the major milestones of his entrepreneurial journey, shaped by experimentation, rigor, and hands-on experience. He emphasized how the skills he developed during his time at GEM-critical thinking, open-mindedness, and the ability to bridge strategy and operations-continue to inform his practice today.

“AI is only valuable if it is understood, adopted, and applied to solve real-world problems.”

BFC Group: The Vision of a Committed GEM Alumnus

Founded by Nash Hughes, BFC Group embodies this vision of innovation rooted in reality. The group is organized around two entities:

  • LightMeUp – nnovation Studio, dedicated to collective intelligence
  • AI x LEADERS, an AI hub specializing in monitoring, development, implementation, and support for the adoption of artificial intelligence solutions

Today, AI x LEADERS accounts for 90% of the group’s activity, in response to a common observation in the field: too many AI projects fail due to a lack of alignment with human and operational challenges.

The group’s mission is clear: to restore meaning, ask the right questions, and deploy the right tools in the right hands.

A human-scale organization, BFC Group supports major clients (LVMH, Crédit Agricole, BNP Paribas, NaTran, Fluence, Akkodis), as well as SMEs, startups, and solopreneurs, with AI expertise focused on:

  • digital twins
  • intelligent agents

Mentorship at the heart of GEM’s DNA

Through his availability and generosity, Nash offered the incubatees an inspiring testimony, blending strategic clarity with entrepreneurial passion. A concrete example of the GEM Alumni’s commitment to the next generation.

A big thank you to Nash for this moment of sharing, true to the GEM Alumni community’s values of mentorship and excellence.
