Global venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates (NEA) has announced the appointment of Philip Chopin as Managing Director and Head of Europe, further reinforcing his key role in the development of one of the world's most influential technology investors across the European market.
Having joined NEA in 2022, Philip Chopin had already made a significant impact by leading the launch of the firm's first European office in London. This new promotion recognizes his strategic contribution to building and expanding NEA's European investment portfolio.
Over the past few years, he has led several major investments in high-growth technology companies, including Sana Labs, the artificial intelligence specialist recently acquired by Workday, as well as Synthesia, VAST Data, and CuspAI. According to Tony Florence, Co-CEO of NEA, Philip Chopin has played a pivotal role in strengthening the firm's European presence and identifying some of the most promising opportunities within the continent's technology ecosystem.
Before joining NEA, Philip spent several years at 83North, where he served as a Partner. During his tenure, he backed numerous European technology success stories, including Exotec, Paddle, Pelico, Podimo, HungryPanda, and Wolt, one of Europe's most notable tech success stories. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Project Leader at BCG.
