Shanghai Ranking: Double recognition for Grenoble Ecole de Management

Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) has made it for the first time into Shanghai’s Business Administration Subject Ranking and sees an increase in its scores in the Management Subject Ranking, as published on 17th July 2018, by ShanghaiRanking.

Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) has made it for the first time into Shanghai’s Business Administration Subject Ranking and sees an increase in its scores in the Management Subject Ranking, as published on 17th July 2018, by ShanghaiRanking.

GEM is ranked in the 201-300 segment in both subject fields.

This is the second consecutive year GEM features in the prestigious Shanghai Ranking – officially known as The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) – which is based solely on academic and research performance of higher education institutions.

Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2018 - Management 

  • 500 international institutions ranked
  • 18 French institutions (as opposed to 13 in 2017)
  • 10 Business Schools (as opposed to 7 in 2017)

GEM sees improved scores in the following categories: +5.1 points for citations, +1.7 points for publications and +1.5 points for international collaborations.

Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2018 - Business Administration

  • - 400 international institutions ranked
  • 10 French institutions (as opposed to 3 in 2017)
  • 8 Business Schools (as opposed to 3 in 2017)

GEM enters this ranking for the first time and is ranked 3rd best French institution based on the research citations criteria.

Research-related indicators to measure performance in each subject field include: number of publications, their international outreach and impact, number of citations, as well as the number of articles published in a selected list of top journals:
