Azadeh Safaei, MS Biotech 2017, Global Medical Manager - Abbott

Azadeh Safaei, a pharmacist by training and a graduate of Grenoble École de Management's Specialized Master's in Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industry Management, has just been appointed Global Medical Manager – Liver & Gastroenterology at Abbott in Basel, Switzerland.

With ten years of experience in medical affairs, Azadeh has built a solid international career, working for Merck and then Procter & Gamble, where she held senior positions in France and Switzerland. Her expertise covers : 

- lead Global strategic Medical activities, KOL engagement, and scientific communication,

- contribute to product launches, licensing and acquisitions, geo-expansions, studies and publications. 

In her new role at Abbott, she leads global initiatives in hepatology and gastroenterology, with the aim of improving patient education, promoting therapeutic innovation, and strengthening synergies between healthcare stakeholders.
