Marie-Lyne Gallais, PGE 2017, director of internal communications at Etam groupe
Grenoble École de Management graduate Marie-Lyne Gallais has been appointed Director of Internal Communications at Etam Groupe. She will be in charge of internal communications strategy within the group, which includes the Etam, Undiz and Maison 123 brands.
With the group since 2019, she successively held the positions of HR & Internal Communications Officer, then Internal Communications and Employer Brand Manager, before moving on to her new management role.
Before joining Etam Groupe, she worked at Groupe Rocher as international cosmetics and corporate communications manager, at ARISTID retail technology in communications project management, and at Kering as project manager for the Kering Foundation.
She also held positions in event communications and press relations at Ubisoft and BCW France.
During her time at GEM, Marie-Lyne held the position of international communications manager for the Altigliss association in 2015, contributing to the success of the event, the leading student association in France that year.
Etam groupe was formed in 1958 from the merger of Etam, a company founded in 1916 in Germany by Max Lindemann, distributing stockings and women's lingerie, and Setamil, a manufacturer of cheesecloth founded by Martin Milchior in 1925. In 1963, the name Etam was chosen by the partners as the name of the group, as it evokes their respective pillars of success: Etam boutiques on the one hand, and Setamil cheesecloth on the other. Thanks to its brands (Etam, Undiz, and Maison Cent Vingt-Trois, formerly “1-2-3”), the group has established itself in over 55 countries.
