On Monday, June 17th, the annual Friends of Grenoble event made its way to Zurich for the first time ever!
Over 50 attendees joined us for the first “Friends of Grenoble” event in Zurich on Monday, June 17th at Frau Gerolds Garten. The event was co-organized by Invest in Grenoble Alps, Grenoble Ecole de Management, Grenoble INP, and Université Grenoble Alpes.
Friends of Grenoble is a network of people enthusiastic about Grenoble and willing to help us promote it internationally. The goal is to build a global network, gathering people from different countries working in collaboration with Grenoble-based companies to showcase the city as an important business hub.
This successful event included Zurich-based GEM Alumni, alumni from UGA and INP as well as representatives from all of the co-organizing companies. We even had the pleasure of welcoming special guest Cyril Mathern, Country Director for Business France in Switzerland.
The relaxed atmosphere encouraged everyone to easily mingle and get to know each other, but also allowed for ample discussion around Switzerland’s current job market and career trends and of course, our mutual connection and love for the Grenoble region.
A HUGE thank you to the GEM Alumni who took the time out of their busy schedules to join us for this multi-network!
A special thank you also goes out to Veronique Pequignat, Director of International Actions at Invest in Grenoble Alps, Terence Zeyer and Justine Michel.
We’d also like to thank our wonderful GEM Alumni in Zurich volunteer coordinators, Lucas Diederen, GEM MIB 2007, Lucie Heidmann, GEM ESC 2013, & Guillaume Houdremont, GEM MIB 2017, for all of their precious help in making this a success!
We look forward to many such events in the future, which really leverage the extensive worldwide network of GEM Alumni!
