Novëm, a success story born at GEM and backed by Grenoble Angels

For several years now, Grenoble Angels has established itself as a leading partner for entrepreneurs from GEM. Through its expertise, network, and financial support, the association helps foster the growth of ambitious and innovative projects in the region.

One of the standout success stories resulting from this support is Novëm, a startup founded by Maegan Rocca, a graduate of GEM, BIB 2016. Specializing in natural cosmetics made from walnuts, the startup was able to rely on the trust and commitment of the investors at Grenoble Angels to reach a pivotal milestone in its growth.

In 2025, Novëm raised €638,000 in funding, a key milestone that enabled the company to structure its growth:

  • expanding the sales team,
  • accelerating R&D,
  • increasing visibility in French and international markets,
  • and rolling out an ambitious distribution strategy, including the opening of a store in downtown Grenoble.

This trajectory perfectly illustrates the driving role that Grenoble Angels plays in supporting promising young companies. Long before Novëm, the association had already backed other startups that are now well-known, such as WIZBII, which it has supported since 2014.

The collaboration between GEM, its alumni, and the Grenoble Angels network demonstrates the vitality of Grenoble’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, which is capable of nurturing high-impact projects and propelling them into broader markets.

Maegan Rocca’s presentation at GEM Graduation Day 2026 reinforces this observation by offering new graduates a concrete example of what local innovation can achieve when backed by expert and committed support.
