Rémy Journé, PGE 1998, Deputy General Manager at Hisense France
On Thursday, May 22, Hisense France announced the appointment of Rémy Journé, a graduate of Grenoble Ecole de Management, as its new Deputy General Manager. Previously Vice President of the French subsidiary, he steps into this role after more than ten years with the company.
Rémy Journé co-founded the French subsidiary of Hisense in 2014 alongside three Chinese colleagues. Since then, the brand has expanded its presence in the French consumer electronics and home appliance markets.
A graduate of Grenoble Ecole de Management and Sciences Po Lyon, Journé began his career at Sony France in 1998. He later joined Samsung Electronics France in 2004, where he held various roles within the brown goods division before being appointed Sales Director in 2011.
In his new role, the Managing Director will be tasked with sustaining the company’s growth momentum. His priorities will include strengthening Hisense’s commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, as well as developing synergies with strategic partners. “Taking on the role of Managing Director at Hisense France is a great honor and a strong commitment to the future. Since our entry into the French market, we have demonstrated our ability to offer innovative, high-quality products while building strong partnerships. I am excited to continue this journey and to further establish Hisense as a leading brand in France alongside our dedicated teams,” he stated.
With a turnover of approximately €300 million in 2024, Hisense France has seen significant growth across several segments. The company held a 41% market share in Laser TVs in 2024 and ranked as the second-largest refrigerator brand by value. It has also made strides in washing machines, cooking appliances, dishwashers, and small household appliances. This performance is underpinned by a premium positioning strategy and sports partnerships with UEFA, FIFA, and Paris Saint-Germain.
