GEM en Débat Podcast #6: Martin Armbrust, PGE 2010 – A Journey Driven by Curiosity
As part of its Inspiring Profiles series, GEM en Débat, the student-led media of Grenoble École de Management, gives the floor to those who carve out unique paths through bold choices and genuine curiosity. In this new episode, meet Martin Armbrust, Head of Management Control at L’Entrepôt du Bricolage and graduate of the PGE program, class of 2010.
Martin Armbrust shares a career journey shaped by curiosity, commitment, and a desire to build a path true to himself.
After graduating from GEM in 2010, he began his career at Nestlé Purina before joining Decathlon, where he deepened his financial expertise between Lille and Stockholm — a professional and personal move inspired by a shared life project with his wife, whom he met at GEM.
“You are your own HR!” This motto perfectly captures his approach. For Martin, building a career means listening to oneself, daring to take detours, and owning one’s choices.
Now Head of Management Control at L’Entrepôt du Bricolage, he steers the company’s financial performance while staying true to what has driven him from the start: learning, growing, and sharing.
« When you're curious and willing to put in the effort, anything is possible.” A belief he passionately conveys in this inspiring episode.
