Two GEM Alumni share how their time at Grenoble Ecole de Management helped shape their careers—one in luxury fashion and retail, the other in IT consulting and international M&A. Their stories highlight the power of adaptability, curiosity, and following one’s passion.

Danilo Mura, GEM MIB 2012 and GEM's Foreign Office Manager for Europe, sat down with two alumni to talk about their professional journeys after GEM.

Elisabetta Fassina,

GEM MSc Marketing Management 2020

Senior Business Analyst - Grenoble Business Unit - Moncler

"After graduating in Business and Economics at Bocconi University and completing the Master in Marketing Management at Grenoble Ecole de Management, I began my career in the dynamic world of luxury and fashion.
While working on my Final Management Project for GEM, I joined Moncler's Digital Team as an intern and later specialized in Analytics within the Data & Digital Intelligence department. During that period, I also took part in MonCampus, a 10-month internal talent development program that concluded with a strategic project presentation to top management. This experience allowed me to explore the company across all departments and helped me realize my growing interest in retail.
I then joined the China Business Unit, where I focused on analyzing market trends and customer behavior in Mainland China and the broader APAC region.
After two enriching years, I transitioned into a newly established division: the Grenoble Business Unit, where I currently work as Senior Business Analyst and Retail Merchandiser. My role supports Moncler's strategic focus on the ski and mountain lifestyle segment, a perfect fit for me, given my passion for the mountains and skiing and enriched by my experience in Grenoble.
My advice to Grenoble students starting their careers? Stay curious, build meaningful connections, and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone."

Vittorio Comi

GEM MSc Innovation Strategy and Entrepreneurship 2018

Manager - EY-Parthenon

"GEM was the time where I really understood where I wanted to begin my career and that was IT Consulting. Mark Esposito was the professor that inspired me to take this path by talking about blockchain and the impact that IT has nowadays to support business.
I started my career in KPMG as IT Consultant in Milan without knowing much about IT. Thereafter, I’ve developed a passion for M&A and moved to EYP Milan for a couple of years doing IT and Operational M&A. Then I had the chance to transfer internally and move to NYC where I had the chance to support very large transactions and build network that my EU colleagues do not have.
Moving back to Milan after 2 years in 🇺🇸 I had to readapt and work more on financial and operational projects rather than IT ones.
My advice to all of you is always be ready to adapt and get the best of any situation and if you really want to do something don’t be afraid to insist and show that you want to get there"
